The concept and target groups

The Fashion Discovery Store is exclusively open to professional retail entrepreneurs with an active and valid company number. Visitors must register their company information in advance. Once a professional gains access to Trademart, he or she may also make purchases in the Fashion Discovery Store.

Although all visitors to Trademart have access, the concept specifically targets clothing stores, shoe stores, concept stores and health & beauty professionals

Research among this target group has shown that they are looking for unique products & brands with a story, with which they can surprise their customers

We operate omnichannel in several ways to make the purchase process as smooth as possible:

- Within Trademart, there are multiple experience booths where you can order products directly online.

- All products are available 24/7 through a user-friendly B2B webshop.

- In addition, the physical store is open two days a week and during purchasing events.

The Fashion Discovery Store has a database of professional contacts with an active opt-in. In addition, the concept is also promoted through paid media and specialized trade magazines, providing additional visibility beyond Trademart.

No, that's not necessary. Trademart takes on the complete management of your presence. You only need to supply your products, we take care of the rest.

Surveys of our retailers have shown that they are looking for the type of products in the discovery store, but are running up against the rules in place at the wholesaler. They want to be able to buy these products in small quantities first, so they can test them out in their activity and with their clientele, before talking about larger volumes with a wholesaler or brand. We want to facilitate that first purchase with the Discovery Store.

There are no specific conditions for participating in the Fashion Discovery Store. After your application we first look at your brand and talk to you. Together we evaluate whether your brand fits within the existing offer and estimate what sales opportunities your products have.

There is a selection process. We carried out a test project beforehand, so we have a good idea of which products will or will not catch on. After your application, we first evaluate your brand and assortment. Then we'll talk together to see if and how your brand fits within the concept, with the goal of a successful collaboration for both parties.

All about the/your products

Yes, it is mandatory. The Discovery Store is an omnichannel environment that includes online sales. Therefore, clear photos are required for each product. You can easily upload these through the project portal.

All products that would be found today in a modern concept store, fashion store or beauty salon qualify. Specifically, think of:

No, that's not necessary. Trademart staff will take care of setting up and placing your products in the store. All you have to do is make sure your products are delivered on time.

You can track your sales results through the Discovery Store online portal. This way you will always stay up to date on what has been sold.

After signing the contract, you will receive login details for the project portal from us. Through this portal you can easily complete and manage your catalog with all the information about your products.

Yes, every product must have at least a bar code and an EAN code. These may be incorporated into the packaging or applied as stickers. We also recommend labeling the selling price on the product, although this is not mandatory. If this is not possible, our staff can poster the price on the rack on which the product is presented.

You commit for a minimum term of 1 year.

Once you have committed verbally or in writing, you will receive the contract from us for signature. All contracts are signed digitally through Docusign, which is quick and easy.

Sale

Trademart assumes full sales fulfillment both in the physical Discovery Store and through the online platform.

Yes, limited inventory is available in the store so that professional customers can checkout and take products with them immediately.

When a customer orders online, Trademart receives the order, packages the products and provides shipping to the customer. Shipping costs are automatically added to the total amount of the order.

Through the project portal, you can access your sales data and download your invoices at any time. This makes it easy to maintain an overview of your achievements.

A 20% commission is charged to cover operational costs. This percentage is calculated on the selling price of the product as you set it in the portal.

Sales are settled monthly. We bundle all sales of your products, deduct our commission, and deposit the remaining amount into your account.

Design

The complete set-up of the Discovery Store is taken care of by us. You only need to send your products and POS materials according to standard formats.

No, the Discovery Store is arranged on the basis of thematic zones. Products that logically belong together are presented together. So it is possible that your products can be found in several places in the store. Of course we make sure that your assortment remains nicely grouped within each theme.

Stock

We deliberately work with limited inventory in the store to drive buying behavior. Count on 15 to 20 pieces per product, depending on the size of your assortment. Our team selects the right numbers for the store; we keep the rest in stock so we can replenish quickly when needed.

Yes, since there are no active sales in the store, we let the products and presentation speak for themselves. We therefore recommend sending along POS material (according to our standard formats) that clearly communicates your brand story and the added value of your products.

Our staff monitors stock on a daily basis. As soon as a product is almost sold out, we contact you to request a new delivery. We count on being able to restock within a week, so that we always have enough stock available in the store.

Timing and logistics

To allow sufficient time to build and set up the store, we ask that your products reach us no later than September 1. For deliveries after this date, we cannot guarantee that the products will be ready for sale in time for the opening of the store.

The project does not have an end date. We work with contracts that have a term of 1 year and a notice period of 3 months.

After signing your participation, you will receive the contact information of our logistics manager. This person manages inventory and coordinates deliveries. We recommend that you contact him directly to receive proper delivery instructions and arrangements.

This is possible, but involves unforeseen costs on our side. In that case, we will charge another 3 months' subscription fee, plus the cost of packing and returning your goods.
