Trademart is the largest B2B marketplace for retail professionals in Europe. We bring brands, retailers, and professional end users together for product discovery, inspiration, and purchasing.

In response to the strong growth and structural fragmentation in the beauty sector, Trademart is launching a new business around Beauty & Cosmetics with the Belgian Beauty Hub as its core concept. A central B2B hub where a wide range of beauty products come together. From skincare and nailcare to cosmetics, tools, and device brands. Physical, digital, and community-driven.

To kick off this new venture, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who will take the concept from zero to its first commercial reality.

The assignment

As Business Development Manager – Beauty & Cosmetics, you will be responsible for launching this new activity.

You will work with clear responsibilities. Your goal is clear: to turn the detailed idea into a compelling concept, activate it in the market, and structure it at start-up, so that after a successful launch, the project can be smoothly transferred internally to sales & marketing.

This is a hands-on assignment for someone who likes to take responsibility, thinks on their feet, and delivers visible results.

Your responsibilities

1. Concept & positioning

  • Translating existing market research into a sharp, marketable value proposition

  • Helping to shape the offering: events, memberships, partnerships, and commercial packages

  • Refining the positioning of Trademart and the Belgian Beauty Hub as a central B2B discovery and community hub for beauty professionals

2. Commercial development and achieving initial results (core focus)

  • Actively approaching and onboarding beauty and cosmetics brands

  • (skincare, nails, cosmetics, tools, devices, etc.)

  • Closing initial commercial deals: permanent and temporary booth participations, memberships, and brand activation packages

  • Utilizing your existing network and targeted prospecting

  • Building sustainable relationships in a competitive market

  • Shaping the beauty & cosmetics community in collaboration with Marketing colleagues

3. Structuring & transfer

  • Setting up basic processes, commercial approach, and learnings

  • Collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, digital, finance, and operations

  • Documenting insights, formats, and recommendations

  • Preparing for a smooth transfer to a permanent manager after the start-up phase

Who we are looking for

Absolute requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in the beauty and cosmetics industry

  • A strong and relevant network of brands, distributors, or professional players

  • Commercial clout. You open doors, build trust, and close deals

  • Entrepreneurial mindset. You thrive in a context where not everything is yet set in stone.

Ideal profile

  • Experience in business development, commercial management, or venture start-ups.

  • Strategic insight combined with a distinct hands-on mentality.

  • Independent, pragmatic, and results-driven.

  • Able to engage and mobilize internal teams without a formal hierarchical line

  • Fluent in Dutch and French, English is a plus
