Your role

As a Business Developer, you will strengthen our sales team by actively attracting new brands and customers within Fashion, Home & Living, and Baby & Kids.

Your focus will be on acquisition. You will actively seek out opportunities, proactively approach brands, and convince them to join Trademart based on various evolving commercial propositions. In this way, you will contribute directly to the further growth and renewal of our brand portfolio, within our existing and future new business.

Your responsibilities

Specifically, this means that you will:

  • Actively identify and approach new leads via online databases, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, events, trade shows, referrals, and cold calling.

  • Screen and evaluate potential brands for quality, relevance, and match with our retail customers.

  • Build and manage a structured sales pipeline in the CRM system

  • Prioritize leads and follow up consistently to maximize conversion

  • Work independently in a distinct one-to-one prospecting role

In addition, you will work closely with:

  • Marketing, to optimally coordinate outbound and inbound activities

  • Sales colleagues and account managers, to ensure a smooth transfer after closing and to share market knowledge

  • Technical and operational colleagues, to correctly translate the needs and expectations of new customers

You will supervise the entire process: from initial contact and negotiation to the effective onboarding of the brand within Trademart.

After closing, you will transfer the customer to account management for further relationship building and long-term cooperation.

Who you are

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in an acquisition or hunter role, preferably in B2B or retail

  • An affinity with Fashion, Home & Living, and/or Baby & Kids

  • An existing network in the sector, which is a strong asset

  • You are entrepreneurial, independent, and take initiative

  • You communicate clearly and negotiate with conviction

  • You are a team player who shares market insights and wants to grow together

  • You have demonstrable experience in achieving acquisition targets and realizing growth

  • You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English

  • You are willing to regularly visit international trade fairs and permanent centers
